I am writing to report concerns regarding a tree located outside my property that is causing ongoing issues and may present a risk to public safety.

The tree has become significantly overgrown and is currently interfering with the telephone line serving my property. During periods of high winds, branches come into contact with the line, causing the telephone and broadband connection to fail. As a result, I have had to contact my service provider on multiple occasions to restore the connection. Following two call-outs, I have been advised that any further visits may be subject to a charge, despite the underlying issue being caused by the tree.

In addition, there are two large branches that appear to have partially detached from the tree and are hanging directly above the public footpath. I am concerned that these branches could fall and injure pedestrians passing beneath, particularly during adverse weather conditions.

I would be grateful if the Council could arrange for the tree to be inspected and any necessary maintenance or remedial work to be carried out as soon as possible.
