237 Upton Gardens

Reported via desktop in the Obstruction - Overgrown / overhanging private tree / hedge category anonymously at 09:29, Monday 8 June 2026

Sent to Brent Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9578764.

I would like to report a highway safety issue caused by an overgrown shrub/hedge at the junction of Upton Gardens and Kenton Road, Harrow HA3 0BT, near 237 Upton Gardens.

The shrub is positioned on the corner where vehicles exit Upton Gardens onto Kenton Road. It is blocking the driver’s line of sight towards oncoming traffic on Kenton Road. Even after edging forward carefully, it is still very difficult to see cars coming along the main road.

This creates a serious risk of an accident, especially as Kenton Road is a busy road and vehicles may approach at speed. Drivers exiting Upton Gardens have to move out further than is safe before they can properly see the traffic.

Please can the council inspect this location urgently and arrange for the shrub/hedge to be cut back or reduced to restore clear visibility at the junction.

I have attached photos/screenshots showing the location and the obstruction.
