I am writing to formally raise concerns regarding the current state of Neasden Recreation Ground and the connecting footpaths. As residents who contribute to the local area through council tax, we value the public services provided; however, the lack of visible maintenance in this specific area has become a significant concern for the community.
I have attached several photos taken recently that highlight the following issues: Persistent Littering and Fly-Tipping: There is a significant amount of loose litter, including food packaging and glass, near the entrance sign and along the walkways. Notably, there is a large blue plastic bag caught high in the trees that has remained there for about a month, along with what appears to be fly-tipped materials near the bushes.
To help deter this littering in the future, please consider the following:
• Enforcement & Signage: Installing clear signs regarding the fines for littering and fly-tipping to discourage further dumping.
• Additional Bins: Placing more bins at the entrance sign and along the connecting alleyways where waste currently accumulates.
• Scheduling a deep clean to remove persistent items, such as the blue bag caught in the trees and the broken glass on the paths, which currently attract vermin in which I have seen on my runs.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to seeing Neasden Recreation Ground restored to a clean and safe environment for the community. Kind regards, Elaura
