Paving in front of 28/30 Ambleside Gardens

This damage was initially caused by the root of a tree that used to be planted. Over time the surface became unstable.

Over the past couple of years it has become more worn over time due to the root still being under the concrete and eventually it all cracked.

This is now a genuine hazard the floor is unstable, and can easily cause someone to trip and get injured.

  • This problem has been received by our Highways Team. We plan to inspect within 20 days and provide an update.

  • This problem has now been inspected. Limited Council resources mean that it is not possible to repair each and every defect, and we have to prioritise cases that pose the most risk to the public so a further assessment by officers is required. We hope to make a decision on this repair within the next 14 days and provide a further update. If this defect is selected for repair, our contractor will have a further 28 days to carry out the work
