Maybank avenue, outside 45 and 47

Reported via mobile in the Street tree - Overgrown category anonymously at 12:59, Monday 27 April 2026

Sent to Brent Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9360845.

I am writing to raise a serious concern regarding a tree located directly outside our property. Over time, this tree has become increasingly hazardous and is now causing significant damage to the surrounding area. The roots have grown extensively and are lifting and cracking the pavement, creating an uneven surface that poses a clear trip hazard to pedestrians. In addition, the roots appear to be affecting nearby properties, raising concerns about potential structural damage. The tree’s branches have also become unstable. We have experienced falling branches that have already caused damage to parked vehicles, and there is a genuine risk that someone could be injured if this continues. Given the current condition of the tree, we believe it presents a danger to public safety. We kindly request that the council arrange for an urgent inspection of the tree and take appropriate action to address the issue. This may include pruning, root management, or removal if deemed necessary.
