While pushing my 9 month-old baby in a pram, the wheels caught on a displaced slab, causing the pram to halt abruptly and nearly topple over. It was only through my immediate intervention that a serious accident was avoided and my child did not strike the ground. This defect poses a severe risk of injury to vulnerable pedestrians and requires urgent inspection and repair before a serious injury occurs.
