Reported via iOS in the Pavement damage category anonymously at 08:58, Monday 2 February 2026
Sent to Brent Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8817938.
Footpath has sunk slightly, probably caused by lorries turning. Usually it is a pool of water that pedestrians have to skirt around. It doesn’t drain off into the gutter. Currently collecting mud.

This problem has now been inspected. Limited Council resources mean that it is not possible to repair each and every defect, and we have to prioritise cases that pose the most risk to the public so a further assessment by officers is required. We hope to make a decision on this repair within the next 14 days and provide a further update. If this defect is selected for repair, our contractor will have a further 28 days to carry out the work
Thank you for taking the time to report this defect and helping keep Brent a safer, more accessible place to live.

I’m not entirely surprised that the council does not have the resources to fix minor problems since they do not fix more major problems like potholes that could cause damage and injuries. Or they are slow to fix them. We seem to be expected to accept a continuous deterioration of service and one wonders where this will eventually lead.
