Sent to Brent Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8651104.
All humps and hump markings around and jump triangles faded. Cars are driving at excessively high speeds next to the Wembley centre for health hospital and school (Barham primary), this is causing a danger to vulnerable road users. As there are no crossings, the worn markings around the hump also form a severe trip hazard for pedestrians, patients and school children. All hump markings need urgent renewal for pedestrian and vehicle speed safety

Under section 41 of the Highways Act 1980, the highway authority has a duty to maintain the highway in a condition safe for ordinary traffic. The worn road hump and pedestrian markings outside a primary school and health centre materially reduce speed control and pedestrian visibility, creating a foreseeable risk to vulnerable users

This defect was categorised as medium priority defect. To maximise the benefit to be achieved from available funding for medium priority defects we must prioritise locations of greater risk over others. Unfortunately on this occasion this defect was not prioritised for repair. However, we will continue to monitor this on our scheduled cyclic inspections and should it deteriorate further will be reassessed for possible selection for repair.
