Blocked Gully near lamp post
Reported via mobile in the Gully - Blocked (Flooded) category anonymously at 12:05, Sat 13 December 2025
Sent to Brent Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8542158.
Blocked Gully overflowing onto pavement, causing a real slip hazard for pedestrians. We have seen many old pensioners, and young fall as it become slippery. Even worse once all frozen over and this has happened many times over the years.
This is a long standing issue which has never been fully resolved, previously informed that the gully was never connected to the main drain a few feet away alongside the curb, which was meant to be carried out . This has still not been done. Gully is always blocked and water has no where to go but all over the pavement.
Please can someone clear this out and look into having it connected properly.

This problem has now been inspected. Limited Council resources mean that it is not possible to repair each and every defect, and we have to prioritise cases that pose the most risk to the public so a further assessment by officers is required. We hope to make a decision on this repair within the next 14 days and provide a further update. If this defect is selected for repair, our contractor will have a further 28 days to carry out the work
Thank you for taking the time to report this defect and helping keep Brent a safer, more accessible place to live.

Still no repairs or cleaning of gully carried out. Reported in December and previously on many occasions.
The main gully is not connected to the main drain and just overflows and gets blocked with dirt, causing a mess all over. Please can the highways team look to connect this to the main drain a few feet away .

Still awaiting for this to be repaired and connected.
Recently saw a couple of contractors arrive and look at it from the truck, didn't clear it or inspect the gully in question. However, went to the gully on the road which was 3 houses down which isn't having any issues, hoovered the top of the grate in approx 20 seconds and then left.
Not really sure what's going on. Just seem to time waste and not do anything about the issues reported apart from close reports down.
