Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing about a serious issue caused by a council-owned tree next to my property at 19 Crabtree Avenue, HA01LW.

Between Monday 1st and Tuesday 2nd of December, a large tree in the alleyway on the detached side of my property fell onto my garage roof. It has put a large hole in the top middle. As it has been raining heavily, water has come into the garage and damaged my belongings, which are getting worse as time progresses.

I am extremely disappointed and frustrated, as I contacted the council a few years ago to ask for this tree to be removed. My request fell on deaf ears and nothing was done. The risk I raised has now turned into actual damage to my property.

I am therefore asking for compensation for the cost of repairing the garage roof and for the damaged items inside the garage, and for the removal of the fallen tree and any remaining unsafe parts as soon as possible.
