This problem has now been inspected. Limited Council resources mean that it is not possible to repair each and every defect, and we have to prioritise cases that pose the most risk to the public so a further assessment by officers is required. We hope to make a decision on this repair within the next 14 days and provide a further update. If this defect is selected for repair, our contractor will have a further 28 days to carry out the work
Thank you for taking the time to report this defect and helping keep Brent a safer, more accessible place to live.

The defective paving slabs remain in the same dangerous condition. Just last week, one of my visitors actually stubbed their toes and almost fell to the ground! I have also, on occasions, stumbled and almost fell to the ground, as a result of tripping over the raised, uneven paving slabs! I, and some of my neighbours believe that this is a serious hazard which has been gotten worse over the years. For us elderly people, it’s a priority, I’d like to have the rea inspected again and repaired, before someone seriously injure themselves because of the defective paving slabs remain. Thank you for your attention to this issue.

This defect was categorised as medium priority defect. To maximise the benefit to be achieved from available funding for medium priority defects we must prioritise locations of greater risk over others. Unfortunately on this occasion this defect was not prioritised for repair. However, we will continue to monitor this on our scheduled cyclic inspections and should it deteriorate further will be reassessed for possible selection for repair.
