Outside trade car sales shop, before tacticle paving
Reported via iOS in the Pavement damage category anonymously at 22:20, Wed 24 September 2025
Sent to Brent Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8210413.
INSPECT ALL SLABS UP TO 5-6M BEFORE THE TACTICLE PAVING (AT THE CROSSING) THEY ARE ALL MOVING 2-3CM AND IT IS CLEARLY VISIBLE THEY ARE MISSING JOINTING COMPOUND. IN THE WINTER THIS WILL CAUSE PEDESTRIANS TO GET SPLASHED BY WATER AND THESE SLABS LEAD UP TO TACTILE PAVING FOR A CROSSING MEANING THE LOCAL HIGH STREET/SHOPPING PARADE IS NOT ACCESSIBLE, not acceptable

This problem has now been inspected. Limited Council resources mean that it is not possible to repair each and every defect, and we have to prioritise cases that pose the most risk to the public so a further assessment by officers is required. We hope to make a decision on this repair within the next 14 days and provide a further update. If this defect is selected for repair, our contractor will have a further 28 days to carry out the work
Thank you for taking the time to report this defect and helping keep Brent a safer, more accessible place to live.

This defect was categorised as medium priority defect. To maximise the benefit to be achieved from available funding for medium priority defects we must prioritise locations of greater risk over others. Unfortunately on this occasion this defect was not prioritised for repair. However, we will continue to monitor this on our scheduled cyclic inspections and should it deteriorate further will be reassessed for possible selection for repair.
