Before and after pay on foot machine

Reported via iOS in the Pavement damage category anonymously at 20:51, Sat 6 September 2025

Sent to Brent Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8129575.

2 tree pits (one a few meters before the payment machine and one a few meters after) have sunken creating a trip hazard. The council is reminded Barham Primary School and Wembley Centre for Health & Care as well as Wembley Community Diagnostic Centre are meters away, and so it is essential for the pavement to be kept accessible and hazard free for all users including vulnerable road users.

Updates

  • This problem has been received by our Highways Team. We plan to inspect within 10 days and provide an update.

    State changed to: Investigating

  • This problem has now been inspected. Limited Council resources mean that it is not possible to repair each and every defect, and we have to prioritise cases that pose the most risk to the public so a further assessment by officers is required. We hope to make a decision on this repair within the next 14 days and provide a further update. If this defect is selected for repair, our contractor will have a further 28 days to carry out the work

Thank you for taking the time to report this defect and helping keep Brent a safer, more accessible place to live.

  • This defect was categorised as medium priority defect. To maximise the benefit to be achieved from available funding for medium priority defects we must prioritise locations of greater risk over others. Unfortunately on this occasion this defect was not prioritised for repair. However, we will continue to monitor this on our scheduled cyclic inspections and should it deteriorate further will be reassessed for possible selection for repair.
