Neasden recreation ground generally but bins off path maintenance especially in spring/summer
Reported via mobile in the Park litter bin needs emptying category anonymously at 15:13, Friday 16 May 2025
Sent to Brent Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7579573.
The Brent council bins have overflowed and due to the higher number of visitors to the rec with the warm weather. The overfilled bin litter has been blowing across the rec and is becoming a hazard to children and wildlife. The non council bins further up the path crucially need emptying so litter doesn't enter the reservoir and damage/disturb wildlife - especially given it is an area of SSI.
Locals have been doing litter picks themseLves but much more regular bin pick ups and more bins need to be installed to improve this valuable green space.

It’s a shame but not only the parks, in many wards Brent Council agreed to taken away bins away from certain wards, Dollishill Ward now has no bins at Bastos, busy areas or corners of main roads. This has lead to litter on the streets. Brent Council have also decided to change the away streets are swept, so you have to report a street which needs to be swept. Unfortunately most people do not use the app to report bins/ sweeping and from my experience Voilia close the job as complete even though it has not been. As Voilia is self regulated Brent has become one of the dirtiest boroughs in London ( except outside the civic Centre)
