Linear defects across the whole width of road causing large vibrations to housing, mainly from heavier vehicles (trucks/coaches/rail replacement buses), leading to housing structural damage. This problem has now been inspected. Limited Council resources mean that it is not possible to repair each and every defect, and we have to prioritise cases that pose the most risk to the public so a further assessment by officers is required. We hope to make a decision on this repair within the next 14 days and provide a further update. If this defect is selected for repair, our contractor will have a further 28 days to carry out the work
