Column 6 still on the ground as are the safety barriers that were put in place 2 months ago. These are blocking the sidewalk as I reported about a week ago (ref 6433231).

The update I received is that “The contractor has attended site. It has been made safe.”. However, I can tell you that zero has changed since my last report (this is now my 4th!)

If the contractor actually attended, why didn’t the stand the barriers back up, instead of leaving them blocking the pavement? They are a hazard for anyone with mobility issues. How does anyone expect someone in a wheelchair to navigate this mess?

Enough of contractors wasting Council money pretending to do work they haven’t done! After my second report (1 month after the first), they claimed to have visited the site and found nothing!

It is the Council’s responsibility to do quality control for contracted work. This is a disaster all around.

    New column has been installed awaiting transfer of power supply and removal of stump. We have instructed the contractor to carry out the work as soon as possible.
