Road outside 23 & 26 Fairway Avenue
Reported via mobile in the Pothole or other road damage category anonymously at 17:47, Tuesday 30 July 2024
Sent to Brent Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6295126.
Fairway Ave was resurfaced a number of years ago, due to the poor standards of repair, the road is already in need of resurfacing.
The sections along the road with the speed bumps were left untouched during these works, where now the entire surrounding sections of the speed bumps on the road have now sunk causing the speed bumps to almost hit and damage almost every passing car. You can see from the images the road is breaking up and forming pot holes on the edges of the centre bump.
Can you either please remove the speed bumps or implement new single bumps as it is causing damage as well as being in the way to enter/exit my driveway.
Things which can be done temporarily,
Smooth over the affected areas as I have just seen two vehicles get punctures as a result of the pot holes.
Renew sections with speed bumps as these parts are over 20 years old.
Or repair the entire road.
Happy to speak to someone to explain in further detail.

This problem has now been inspected. Limited Council resources mean that it is not possible to repair each and every defect, and we have to prioritise cases that pose the most risk to the public so a further assessment by officers is required. We hope to make a decision on this repair within the next 14 days and provide a further update. If this defect is selected for repair, our contractor will have a further 28 days to carry out the work
Thank you for taking the time to report this defect and helping keep Brent a safer, more accessible place to live.
