Opposite right hand side of 151 Woodcock Hill, fourth slab to West of tarmacked area
Reported via desktop in the Pavement damage category anonymously at 18:50, Wed 15 November 2023
Sent to Brent Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5216821.
The slab nearer the verge here is tilted, creating trip hazards on both the East and West edges for people walking towards the West. The edge on the West of the slab is worst, and I've placed a store card there, for the photographs, as a size reference. It is somewhere between 40 and 45mm at the point where I placed the card.
This morning, someone walking a bit behind me tripped and fell here and I think it was almost certainly on this slab.
Although this only reached medium priority four months ago, see https://report.brent.gov.uk/ report/ 4809281 , I think it should be reconsidered. Some factors to consider are:
The leaf fall now makes it very difficult to see. I moved some leaves aside in order to place the card, but even in the photographs it is difficult to see because of the leaves.
This road gets a reasonably large footfall. Although not relevant for this fall, it is a feeder route for Mount Stewart school. Even at other times one can expect to encounter pedestrians (it seems to be a popular dog walking route, too).
It's well over the 25mm figure typically quoted as the minimum for a successful claim.
I've included views in both directions, to help locate it. The lamp column in one view is number 42, and the previous report places that 21 and a bit slabs West, although I've used the tarmacked area, to the East, as a reference here, as that is nearer.
